Production in Jodhpur
Hari Om Arts has been building solid wood furniture in Jodhpur, Rajasthan since 2005. Our workshop combines modern machinery with the hand finishing Jodhpur is known for. Experienced carpenters, finishers, quality inspectors and production managers take every piece from raw timber to export packing.
From timber to container
Timber selection
We select Indian hardwoods and imported timber for grain, density and defects before cutting.
Drying
Timber is dried to a controlled moisture content [method and target — confirm] to prevent cracks and warping.
Machining and joinery
Parts are cut, planed and joined in our workshop to the drawing and dimensions of each design.
Hand finishing
Sanding, colouring, distressing and lacquering are done by hand by our finishing team.
Quality control
Inspectors check dimensions, joints, finish and function against the approved sample.
Export packing
Each piece is packed for sea freight and loaded to make the best use of container space.
